Awhile ago I promised pictures of the rice that our students planted. Well here they are...

After a few months of growing and careful care by a local farmer, the rice has grown big.

It will be ready for harvest at the end of the month.

On an all school science day the students went out and planted kangkung, a very common Indonesian vegetable (similar to spinach).

Here you can see it after a couple months of growing. When it was ready we harvested it and one of our helpers cooked it and everyone got to try some.
